Challenging AWS's AI supremacy: How far has Gensyn's distributed computing network come?

When cloud giants control the lifeline (computing power) of AI training and charge high fees, Gensyn, led by a16z, is trying to open a gap with decentralized protocols. Its testnet data shows that this alternative solution has initially worked.

Current progress and data:

  1. Cost advantage : Claiming that the cost of computing power can be as low as 1/5 of the centralized Cloud as a Service, this will be the key to attracting small and medium developers and researchers.
  2. Technical verification: Its RL Swarm collaborative training framework connected more than 26,000 nodes in the test network and completed more than 120,000 training sessions, proving that distributed collaborative training is technically feasible.
  3. Trust mechanism: Through cryptographic proof and random sampling verification (Verde protocol) to ensure the reliability of computing strange nodes, which is the foundation of the entire business model.

Key question: The success of the testnet proves the potential of the technology, but whether it can truly form a stable and large-scale demand and supply at the commercial level after the mainnet goes online will be the touchstone of the next stage.
